Keto Paloma Recipe

Introduction to Keto Paloma

It’s finally getting warm out, so that means it’s time for a cocktail! This sugar-free Keto Paloma is everything you could ever want in a refreshing, tasty drink! This is perfect for sipping by the pool or enjoying on the porch! With no sugar, no sugar alcohols, and only 1.6 net carbs, you can’t ask for a better keto cocktail!

What is a Traditional Paloma?

Usually, a paloma is made with grapefruit soda like Jarritos, but that has way too much sugar for my keto diet. So instead, I use grapefruit soda water and just a squeeze of a grapefruit wedge to cut the carbs! I also add Liquid Monkfruit to add some sweetness. Combined with the fresh squeezed lime juice and tequila, this cocktail is the perfect way to celebrate the season!

Ingredients in Keto Paloma

As always, here is a quick overview of the ingredients used in our low-carb cocktail. For the complete, printable recipe, just scroll to the bottom of the page.

  • Silver tequila
  • Lime juice- I recommend using freshly squeezed for the best flavor
  • Grapefruit juice- again, I would use fresh grapefruit juice. You only need one wedge per drink, so each grapefruit is good for several cocktails.
  • Monkfruit liquid sweetener
  • Grapefruit soda water- I used a Soda Stream, but you can also buy grapefruit soda water at many grocery stores
  • Ice

How to Make a Keto Paloma

This keto Mexican recipe comes together so easily! First, take a drink shaker and add ice. Next, combine the tequila, lime juice, grapefruit juice, and the monk fruit liquid sweetener. Shake until cold. Strain your keto cocktail and pour into a highball glass. Garnish with a lime or grapefruit wedge. You can also salt the rim if you want!

Nutrition Information

This keto cocktail has only 1.6 net carbs in a 13-ounce drink! This keto drink also has no sugar or sugar alcohols, making it a perfect low-carb cocktail!

About Liquid Monk Fruit Sweetener

This keto Mexican recipe uses Liquid Monkfruit Sweetener. The bottle is small, but a little goes a long way with this. I only used 8 drops in my keto Paloma, but you may like yours more or less sweet, so I recommend adding a few drops and tasting your drink to see if it is to your sweetness preference. This keto sweetener has zero carbs, zero sugar, and zero calories!

Can I Make This Keto Cocktail Ahead of Time?

While this low-carb drink is best fresh because of the carbonation, you can prepare it ahead of time. Add all of your ingredients to a pitcher, except omit the ice and store in the fridge. When you are ready to serve, prepare your cocktail as described above. If you aren’t serving for several hours, leave out the soda water and simply add it when you’re ready to serve. This helps keep the drink light and bubbly!

What to Serve with Keto Paloma

This drink goes perfectly with so many delicious dishes! One of my favorites is Shrimp con Queso, but Steak Fajitas would also be a great pairing. Keto Chimichangas are always a hit, as well as Keto Sour Cream Enchiladas.
