Chicken Bacon Ranch
Easy keto meals are a must in our house, and this Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich definitely fits the bill! It can be hard to find sandwiches while on a keto diet, so that’s why I make my own using this perfect chaffle recipe! You’ll never have to go without bread again! Chaffles are great for keto meal prep, because they can be frozen easily and reheated in your toaster, so you can always have some on hand.

This Chicken Bacon Ranch Chaffle comes together so easily. Using just a few ingredients, you can have a hearty, filling sandwich on the table quickly! This meal has tons of protein to keep you full and going throughout your day, while only coming to 5.5 grams net carbs, making it an ideal low carb meal!
Chicken Bacon Ranch Ingredients
As always, this is a quick overview of the ingredients you will need for this recipe. To make this Chicken Bacon Ranch Chaffle you will need:
- Chaffles: shredded cheddar, eggs, almond flour and baking powder
- Grilled Chicken: your favorite, or try this Chipotle Ranch or Jalapeno Lime
- Bacon: cooked, thick cut bacon
- Lettuce and tomatoes
- Cheese: provolone or any other variety
- Ranch! Of course, the essential ingredient is a good quality, low carb Ranch dressing
How to Make This Keto Lunch
Here is how you make this Chicken Bacon Ranch Chaffle! If you have already meal prepped your chaffles, simply warm until toasted. If you are making your chaffles fresh, first prepare your batter by combining your eggs, cheese, almond flour and baking powder.
Spray your preheated waffle iron with nonstick spray and add batter- be careful not to overfill! Cook for 2-3 minutes and allow to cool and crisp up for a few minutes. Once your chaffles are ready, add your grilled chicken, bacon, ranch, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes and there you go! A delicious keto lunch ready in just a few minutes!
Can I Have a Sandwich on Keto?
Traditional sandwich bread is off limits on a keto diet. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your favorite sandwich combos. Simply swap regular bread for these easy chaffles.
Chaffles are great warm, cold or at room temperature. This makes them an excellent substitute for bread. These Bacon Cheeseburgers are a huge fan favorite, as well as this Turkey Club.
Waffle Maker for Chaffles
Any waffle iron will do! However, since they can vary greatly on sizing I suggest a small mini waffle maker. I love this one from Ms. Dash. These waffles are also about the size of a slice of bread, so you can make low carb sandwiches easily.
Tips for the Best Keto Sandwich
- Do not overfill the waffle maker when making the chaffles so you get nice, perfect waffles!
- Be sure your chaffles are cooked to a crispy consistency so they are able to hold all of the ingredients without getting soggy
- Lightly press a paper towel against the sliced tomato to absorb any extra liquid
- Don’t forget to salt and pepper the veggies!
- Be sure to drain your bacon after cooking
What is a Chaffle?
A chaffle is exactly what it sounds like- it’s a cheese waffle! These bread substitutes are perfect for a keto diet because they are high in fat while remaining low in carbs. You can use chaffles as a replacement for burger buns, bread, or for a great snack!
I love customizing my chaffle recipes- you can add in whatever ingredients you like to make this recipe your own! Some of my favorites are Jalapeno Cheddar, Bacon Cheddar, Pepperoni Pizza, Ham and Cheese and Sausage Jalapeno (these are especially good for breakfast!). I’ve also used chaffles as the base for great meals, such as Chili Cheese Chaffles or these Keto BBQ Stacks.
